Changing my Magic your Way + Dining package??

(I'm not even sure if this question belongs here )

We're going to Disney in April & currently have the MYW + Dining package. My DH & I were talking about taking the kids to Typhoon Lagoon. (my kids just watched a show on the top waterparks in the US & TL was one of them) anyway..when I was checking the web for prices, it said that they are offering free park hopping & waterpark fun if you go from 3/31-5/21.(I do have the park hopping already) Does anyone know if I can "change" the package so free waterpark is included or would I have to cancel my trip & re-book? (which I'm not doing)

If you booked directly with Disney, call them and ask them to see if they can add that code to your package. When they offered it 2 years ago, I was able to do that without a problem (I also already had park hoppers but not water parks on my tickets...) I did add a night for no charge because of the savings.

If you booked with a travel agent, you need to call him/her and have them change the reservation.

You should NOT have to cancel and rebook.

Just be open you might be lucky and get same resort. But also be open to changing resorts if necessary.

Thanks for the advice--I did email my travel agent yesterday & am waiting for a reply. I won't expect one at least until tomorrow giving it's the weekend. Hopefully we can add another day, but if not that's fine too.

This isn't a dining question, and while you may already have the answer, I am going to move it to the resort board (which I think is probably the best place to address package issues - if I'm wrong I'll find out)

ok--So I received an email from my travel agent; she said that she called Disney & it's not available for my hotel. (Pop Century) I wouldn't have to add a day, just add the "free waterpark fun" onto my package. Does anyone know if this means that only certain hotels offer this package? I want to know what I'm talking about before I call her. It just doesn't make sense to me because when I went on the Disney website & put in different days for Pop (within the free upgrade time frame), it gave me a price.

Yesterday I called to book using the code for the free upgrade and was told that there was no availability. My understanding is that there are a select amount of packages to be used with this code. Today I called to check availabilty and was able to book using the code. My advise to you is to keep calling back!

I have a booking through Disney Travel staying at the AKL Club level & then I saw that you could get the extra mentioned. I called back & I couldn't it as my room type wasn't avai. CM person told me I could switch to a regular room but we wanted the club level to do the Sunrise Safari & I just did it to make DH happy. LOL. They probally mean that the hotel sold out their limits to that deal. But have the TA call back and ask again

oh-I get it! that makes sense! I thought she meant that the Pop wasn't offering it. I'll try calling myself, just for peace of mind. Thanks everyone for your advice/responses!

I am staying at the POP & I did get the discount (free park hopper water park) My travel agent modified the reservation. GOOD LUCK!!!!
