Changing from a "package" to "room/dining" package and buying an annual pass.

So we have two separate trips coming up.

First trip is booked through a TA and she booked direct through Disney on our behalf a "package" (nothing agency exclusive wise or special about it, just a standard package that includes the Disney resort/room, dining, and park hopper park tickets).

Second trip we booked direct through Disney via a bounceback offer and again, other than being a bounceback (room discount/not free dining), the "package" included the Disney resort/room, quick service dining, and base park tickets).

If we wanted to consider going the annual pass route, is that still doable or its going to require canceling and re-booking (which I more than likely won't do if that's needed). Also, IF we go the annual pass route, I buy the annual passes online, then activate them prior to my 60 day FP+ window opening so we can make our FPs? Or we have to wait until we're actually in Disney to activate them and we wont be able to make any FPs+ in advance at all?

Hello,
I too have two trips coming up! So excited!

First, in order to make any AP changes you first need the voucher in your MDE. If you do not have a voucher (a non activated AP bought online) you will not be able to access discounted tickets or the ability to make AP packages.

Next, no you do not have to lose the bounce-back offer; all you have to do is call Disney and they will transfer you to the bounce-back department. From there you can speak with a cast member about changing the package to a room only and dining (if dining is desired) and they can do it there.

Also, once you have the voucher in your MDE and are staying onsite, you will be able to make FP+ 60 days in advance.

I would suggest calling your TA once you buy your AP because they should have no problems changing your package to an AP/room/dining package.

SO bottom line 1. buy AP online. 2. Call Disney about the bounce-back offer. 3. call your TA about your first trip. and as long as you do this 60 days before you should definatly be able to book those FP+s.

I hope this helps and enjoy your trips!!!!!
