Changing dates ?

What do youpeople think my chances are of changing my dates for a 2BR at BW from Nov. 27 - Dec. 4 to Nov. 30 - Dec 7 and not having any problems?

We have not booked our airfare yet and I found great prices of $148 pp from Omaha to MCO leaving and returning Nov 30 - Dec. 7. This will be saving us $100 pp.

I think the chances are slim. That time of year is very popular at BWV (and all the DVC resorts), you will probably have to waitlist. What view do you have? If it's standard or boardwalk, it's going to be really difficult.

Southwest has GREAT specials running if you buy before Aug 5. They are usually the cheapest around, and you could probably get them on the days that you already have booked.

<font face="times" size="+0">Well, you never know until you try. How long can you hold off on buying airfare?
Are you willing to pay cash for 12/4, 12/5, and 12/6 if you can't book it on points?
Sat the 4th might not be so hard to secure, but 12/5 and 12/6 will be extremely difficult.

If you currently hold a Preferred Pool/Garden View category, then I would say spring for the airfare, and get on the waitlist day-by-day for those 3 extra nights you need. If you're willing to gamble that way, that seems the most likely to succeed. There <i>are</i> still 4 mos for the waitlist to come through.

Otherwise, like Debbie said, if you've got a Std View or BW View booked, then your chances are very slim. You'd have to be willing to change rooms for the last 3 nights (probably to a Pool/Garden View) to make things sort of work.</font>

Just to update everyone, I called yesterday and they told me that there are no rooms available for the 5 - 7. I asked for 1 bedrooms or possibley studios and she told me that none of those are available.

So this gives us the choice of either a hotel or other resort for 3 days and our 2BR (BW view) for the first 4 days. Or we can pay the extra airfare and keep the 2BR for 7 days.
