if you have a placeholder and then assign a sailing date to it, what happens if you have to change that date again? Do you lose the 10% discount and do the prevailing rates apply or the rates that were available on the date that you originally assigned a date. Hope that makes sense.

Any time you move it to another date you pay the prevailing rates. As long as it is not a blocked out week you will still receive the 10% discount.

I just want to add that in order to get the 10% discount, you also need to pick a cruise that commences within 24 months of the date when you booked the placeholder.
