Will i loose my reservation if i downgrade to 4 people on a booked reservation? I have my hard to getr reservations and am concerned i may not get them by rebooking to 4? Can someone clarify if i can do this and still keep my reservation?

I had fewer people going in September and when I called to downgrade the ADRs, I was told that there was no availability for most of the restaurants. The CM told me to just show up for my ADRs and tell them that now only 4 people instead of six would be dining. DS is working in Le Cellier for a year and he says this is very common. It's only a problem if you were trying to add a person to your ressie.

i would hate to have that happen and be charged for the extra person.. Does that happen?

In 90% of the cases your ADR for 5 will result in a 4 top table with a chair added at the head of the table (makes for a pretty uncomfortable seating.) The alternative of giving you a 6 top - but taking away a chair - doesn't bode well for the "packed" restaurants.

So - don't change a thing. You won't be charged, and you'll probably still end up at the same 4 top table without the extra "squished" person being added at the head of the table.

Just my 2 cents.

A couple months ago, I downgraded all my ressies from 6 people to 5 with no problem
