Like PP have mentioned, Disney is a business, there will always be changes. Disney's people think those changes will be awesome, how it plays out for the public is another story.

I was talking to a friend whose son-in-law is a bigwig in Disney and he said there will be a lot of changes that will be awesome!! That's all he said he was allowed to tell me. He just said to be patient. I hope he's right!! I don't want to start a debate, but just thought I'd let people that aren't happy with the way things are now, that they will be changing.

Who else sees a Disney Parks blog post coming up in a couple weeks about how Nemo's popularity helped him "swim right into the first tier of rides at Epcot"? :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Seriously, the gap between the things that Disney believes will be exciting and welcomed by guests and what is actually exciting and welcomed by guests seems to be growing each day.

I think it is likely that they will increase the fastpass allowance, especially for a second park. Maybe not in advance but "day of". I don't think they would have sent out the survey with different options if they didn't intend to do something.

"You've said that having to choose three FP+ experiences a full two months before you arrive makes you feel stressed and over-scheduled... WE HEARD YOU! Now, for maximum planning ease & spur-of-the-moment magic, only ONE FP+ experience may be scheduled in advance!"

Call me crazy, but I think 1 in advance and then schedule more once you're in the park (per old FP- rules) would rock. The folks that love FP+ b/c they can now ride TSM would still get their one ride and the folks like yours truly that arrive at RD can pull whatever. Unfortunately, I know Disney's goal is to "lock people in" and not sure how just 1 ride would do this.

DW and I are just happy this is our non-Disney World year....and by the way they did just change something-$2 bucks more to park at the world. I know--its a business.

And don't forget the $5 extra it now costs you to valet your car at a Disney resort (price went from $15 to $20 today).

Not being an on-site'er...

Is there Self-Parking at the resorts? That I can use if I have ADR? or do I have to valet?

Well...I follow Tips From the DIsney Diva on FB. She's pretty cool. SHe posts little videos as she is in the park. Just cool stuff...

Last night she posted her update about allowing offsite guest purchasing Magic Bands. SHe also read an email she received from a CM of some sort that gives reliable information. Everything I have seen from her is legit...always announced at some point by Disney. She is very careful to not post until she confirms something.

Anyway, she posted last night that offsite guests will be able to book FP+ 30 days in advance...Swan & Dolphin will be able to book FP+ 60 days in advance....AND...onsite guests will be able to book FP+ 150 days in advance in the near future.

I have included a link to her FB page. The video of this email is from yesterday. She is wearing a purple shirt and you see stairs behind her.

We'll see if this comes true as well.

150 days? I hope that's not the big change. That's crazy.

150 days is just excessive. 60 days is already too far ahead for me because day of your visit a ride could be broken, it could rain, etc. Too many unknown factors to plan for two months early. But 150 days?? Park hours change, rides go down for refurbishment, hurricanes come through. And to have so much time between on site, S & D, and off-site people? I love planning, but not like this.

Yes. Animal Kingdom lodge actually has a self park parking garage i discovered yesterday

I think 150 days is fine when you think about it in terms of ADRs. If you can make a dinner reservation six months in advance, might as well plug in the rest of the appointments soon after. In fact, it might be helpful.

right! I know this guy!!! he's the ex-boyfriend of a friend whose cousin used to shop in the same store as my BFF mom's neighbor!
