Hello! I booked a hotel and ticket package on the WDW website for check in on Monday evening a few weeks ago. Now, unfortunately, my husband is sick and won’t be able to go. It’s for my birthday, and my brother is available to go in his place. Here is my question.
Is it possible to just give my brother my husband’s Magicband to access the room and the parks and make plans all week as if he is my husband? I wouldn’t mind calling and changing everything over, but my luck with Disney IT has been inconsistent over the years and I’m concerned changing information so close to check in might create issues with park reservations, virtual queues, and/or Genie+ or ILL selections.
Essentially can I just bypass changing names on the package and continue to make plans as though my husband is participating? It’s a very short trip, two nights/two parks. I’ve tried to think it over and the only thing I’m hung up on is when my brother tries to scan into the park and has to do his fingerprint, that would only be paired with the two day individual ticket and not the many trips we have made to Disney over the years using My Disney Experience right? It is a stand alone ticket. We are not AP. Is that kind of information saved to where when his profile is attached to a reservation, his fingerprint from previous trips would need to match when he scans in a brand new ticket for the first time? Any and all advice is appreciated! Thank you!
