Changes to MK Wishes dessert party-Same Day Reservations

Has anyone been recently? Is the hub now just open to anyone?

I was finally able to get a July Wishes date for a party of five in mid July. Would much prefer the view from the hub, but will take the Terrace if that is the only option.

How did they take something so simple and complicate it like this! :)

Does anyone know how cancellations work? For the ADR-type. If I have a Friday night party booked, when do I need to cancel by?

This event has a 5-day cancellation policy, per my confirmation email.

Went tonight. No same day reservations. It was a nice event, as always especially to get out of the crowds.
Could not see the hub area, sorry...no word on that.

Probably our last one if the price is,going to $79! Wow!

Was your table pre assigned? Any standing allowed at the railing? How was the view?

Wondering if anyone that booked over the phone has their reservation showing up in MDE?

I booked for 10/17 over the phone and was given a confirmation number and the CM said it would show in MDE but it isn't showing up yet.

Did you try adding it to MDE as a dining reservation?

I know you didn't ask me, but we went on Friday night. Table was not pre-assigned. We were not even walked in by a host as some others have reported. We just got our wristbands and sparkling cider and were allowed to select our own table. We picked a table on the railing closer to the left side. The view was decent, though partially obstructed for Celebrate the Magic because of the trees. I did notice that there was an area of railing open with no tables all the way at the end down by the desserts, but didn't notice if anyone stood there during the actual show. I don't see why you couldn't, though.

The party that I booked for 10/1 is showing up in my MDE. As MickeyMinnieMom suggested, have you tried linking the ressie to your account using the confirmation number? Go to MDE/My Reservations and Tickets - and under the rest of your dining reservations, you should see this:

Click Link Dining Reservation, and you should be able to do so using your confirmation number.

Thank you so much!

How early did you arrive to get a seat by the railing?

I've noticed the obstructed view for CTM in the past when I'm far left, but feel the farther left you go, the better your view of the fireworks. Far right less obstructed CTM, but off-center fireworks. First world problems, I know!!

Yep! The struggle is real. ;) We showed up at about 8:15. There were already several folks in line, but we still had our pick of several railing tables when we got in. They started letting people in at 8:45.

Thank you again. Wishes was at 10:00 that night, I assume?

Thanks for reporting!! I'm now seriously reconsidering the Holiday Party... I don't know how the effect of the fireworks would be especially when it's supposed to be 360... ? (first world problems I know)

Just popping in to see what changes have been made to the dessert party.
Seems to me that having to arrive almost 2 hours before the fireworks sort of defeats the purpose. I could find a spot anywhere that early. Guess we won't do it again. boo.

Yep, 10pm. You're welcome!

I definitely see that logic and we seriously considered cancelling ourselves after having done it twice at the old price point. However, we decided it was worth it for us, as it's really only about 30 minutes of lining up and waiting (8:15-8:45). Once we got in we were sitting comfortably with drinks and treats. Then we had regular entertainment starting at 9. MSEP at 9, which you of course can't see well, but the view is good enough to keep my kids occupied. Then celebrate the magic starts shortly after that ends, followed immediately by Wishes.
