Effective from Tuesday, 23 February, the Maya Grill restaurant at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort will be altering their breakfast offerings.

The restaurant, which currently offers a breakfast buffet, will be switching to an à la carte menu.

Reservations booked for 2/23 and beyond will continue to be honoured. Reservations for the new à la carte format are now available by contacting Disney Dining on (407) WDW-DINE or visiting DisneyWorld.com/dining.

Do you happen to know what the difference will be between Pepper Market and Maya Grill. Won't both be al a carte then? Will menus be posted somewhere to differentiate the two? Isn't Rix Cafe a grab-and-go type as well?? Would like more information if available please!! Thanks so much!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Pepper Market is a Quick Service Restaurant (at least in theory, in practice...), while Maya Grill is a Table Service restaurant. Both restaurants will continued to be recognized as such for the purposes of the Disney Dining Plan.

I don't have a Menu on hand, but I'm sure one will be posted shortly.

EDIT: Never mind, I found this menu, courtesy of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks so much for the information.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Grr. I just made a ressie there yesterday for my birthday breakfast in April and they said it was a buffet. This is my first time at CSR and I was looking forward to a nice early breakfast at the resort before racing out to cram as much Disney into one day as possible ;) Wouldn't want to waste a TS credit on the new menu...

I've really been on the fence about staying at CSR - I wonder if I should take this as a sign and switch resorts?

Booo! We were looking forward to eating a leisurely breakfast at our hotel rather than scooting off to a park!

DBF was slightly bummed since we will be staying there again. Now he says we'll have to find another place for him to consume as much bacon as a human possibly can.....lol:rotfl:

we're gutted too. The breakfast buffet at CSR is our favourite at WDW and the main reason why we stay there.

The link for the new a la carte menu was posted on the uk boards last week. Looks fairly basic.

Disney must have not been making enough money of the buffet.

1) True.
2) But, there is another reason.
3) This has become a predominately a convention hotel.
4) Business people like ala carte.
5) Plus, the hotel makes more profit from ala carte than buffets.
