Changes in service for all Quick service?

My family and I were in the parks last week and stopped at Cosmic Rays and Restaurantasaurus in AK. Has anyone else noticed the Quick Service locations have moved to serving in small paper boats instead of the nicer Disney Parks paper plates? I can only attribute this to cost savings.

I like the boats. I'm less likely to spill my food.

A little easier to hold multiple rectangles on a tray than less-efficient circles.

It’s also the current dining style, many restaurants now have square/rectangle plates instead of round ones.

Maybe it depends on what you ordered? I was a college program castmemeber at Cosmic Ray's in 2000 and the burgers and fries and cheesesteak sandwiches all came in the paper boats. The chicken meals and salads were on paper plates I believe.

2) Has ANYONE seen evidence that WDW does any thing (or things) for the benefit o the guest, versus benefit of Disney?
