Changes coming to the Fantasy!

Summary:
Oceaneer Club Changes:
Star Wars: Command Post
Marvel Super Hero Academy with Dr. Strange

Arr-cade Changes:
Sweet on You Ice Cream Shop

Shopping Change:
Tiffany & Co. (Possible to replace into the duty free shop in Whitecaps)

Only thing I'd be excited about is the gelato, but then I'd probably end up spending a lot more money because I hate saying no to my kids on vacation.

After the Star Wars/Marvel changes to the other ships and the addition of Vanellope's to the Dream, none of these changes seem surprising or unexpected - except maybe the choice of Dr. Strange for a Marvel feature. I wonder what Disney could be holding back.

I am OK with it not being appealing to young girls....heck they have all the princesses but I do agree Dr. Strange seems a bit...well....strange!

But not in the kids clubs. How in the world I'm going to get my granddaughter to stay in the club long enough to eat at Palo is beyond me.

I have the world's only kids who are not interested in Star Wars. Or Marvel for that matter except for GotG. But I only have one who is still Oceaneer's club/lab age.

Tiffany seem interesting, although probably out of my budget ;)

We won't go to the ice cream shop, but it will be nice to see the ship all spiffed up in time for our cruise!

Agree with Tiffany!!

It doesn't say the entire club is being changed, sounds like they are just re-doing 2 areas. It looks like possibly the area where the computer area is at will be the Star Wars area. I can't imagine them getting rid of Andy's playroom and if they do it would be a huge mistake. My family went on the first Star Wars cruise this winter. My dd and I don't care for SW, Marvel, or any other sci-fi movies, so I know my dd will prefer the way the kids club is now. She did go to club when they did SW activities even though she's not a fan and had fun, however she's also older, 8 yrs old. It's hard enough to get some younger kids, 3-5 yrs old to stay in the club by themselves. The only way we were able to get my dd to stay when she younger was to tell her she'd get to see Mickey and princesses at the club. Telling her she'd get to see some SW characters and some superheroes that she's never heard of wouldn't have gotten her to go into the club by herself. I'm sure a lot of other kids will absolutely love the changes, it's just not something my family will really care for. If Disney is going to continue to make more things all about SW and Marvel on the Fantasy, we will happily cruise on the Magic and Wonder. I enjoy seeing nautical decor with a Micky twist when I'm on a ship, sci-fi just seems wrong.

Tiffanys? Gee Wonderful...I will have to steer my girls
clear of there.

I was hoping the ice cream shop would be like Vanellopes since Wreck it Ralph is a favorite
movie of my family. Doesn't sound like it though.

Marvel Star Wars stuff sounds ok....except my daughters are too old for the kids club.:worried:

I'm lukewarm on the changes.

Agree with Tiffany!!

FWIW, having actually shopped in Tiffany's in NYC and bought a couple of things, they DO have some things that aren't UBER expensive - in fact I've seen some cheaper than the Dooney and Bourke (however it's spelled) purses or some of the jewelry on board now.

Was this just a sneak peek of the changes, or does this include everything that is changing?:confused3

FWIW, I know a LOT of girls who are into Star Wars and Super Heroes.

And I know more than a few boys who are into Princesses etc.

Gender lines are a LOT fuzzier for more and more kids.

Exactly! My 9 year old is a total girly girl. My just turned 8 year old girl is a tomboy that is into dresses and makeup. She hates princesses (even though she likes to dress like them) and is totally into super heroes.
