Hi, my sister was worried about missing two weeks of school as it will be her final year of A levels, so I have brought the holiday forward a bit so she can enjoy her self with out worrying and me with out feeling guilty.

We are now going on the 23rd august and are now staying for 18 nights, My sister will now only miss about 4 days of school in total.

Only thing is that now she want be able to have any champagne on the outbound flight as she will be 17 when we fly out and 18 when we come home.

With regards to alcohol as you can buy duty free at 17 I am sure they can also serve on flights at 17 :)

I was hopeing they may let her have a glass. did not know that you could buy duty free at 17 though.

Yes you can, current duty free limits. I know this as when I went on a college trip to Russia in 1991 it was my 17th birthday, the day we left, so I was able to buy alcohol at Stansted when we left the country :teeth:

Claire ;)
