Change reservations and split stay?

I have read on this board that it is easy to move between resorts. Originally, I thought that would be a big hassle. How easy is it to move? I have reservations at CR, but now that my wife has heard it is not difficult to move, she wants to do 4 nights in the CR tower and 3 nights at the Poly. Should we do it?

Also, I have the Disney Visa 7 for 4 deal. Can we even split our stay with that package?

I was told that you are not allowed to split your stay on the 7 for 4 deal; you could stay a couple of extra days either at the start or the end of your package at the other resort, tho, using the DV room only discount or one of the other discounts out right now.

No you cannot split with a package.
