We didn't make it to Deadwood, did stop to eat at Wall's drug store, which was tasty & fun! Our bodies have stayed on east coast time, we're totally tired by 8PM here!

DH has never seen Mt. Rushmore and I haven't been since high school so we want to make it there on our way to Devil's Tower someday.

Neither Devil's Tower nor Custer's last stand. We did put 500 miles on the rental car, and enjoyed mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel and Wind Cave NM & NP, Badlands and the Minuteman National Memorial! What a weekend! Flying home today.

Neither of us wanted coffee, so I don't know about price,but I had a GREAT chocolate ice cream soda with their home made hard ice cream!

I'm fortunate that DH enjoys going to NPs as much as I do! On the advice of Simba's Mom, DVC Disboarder, we stayed at Custer State Park, Blue Bell cabin, and saw an amazing amount of wildlife!

Kathy, do you do the driving? I don't do much of it. We have to go to NJ next, an 11+ hour drive and i will be doing, about 1/2. It will be a sad trip, we need to deal with my DUncle's affairs. He passed away last week.

Well, not as much driving as I should! DH does like to drive so I let him do more than half. I really do not like to drive much especially since I drive 30 minutes each way in traffic every day now. So sorry to hear about why you have to drive to NJ; that's always a difficult task going through things like that. I'll be thinking about you. Have a safe trip.
