We have decided to go to the Fort instead of Tampa. I'm actually much happier with this option. We booked this morning for September 5th - 8th and will be celebrating my son's 11th birthday.

Who else will be at the Fort during those days? (This is our first visit to the Fort and the first time using our "new to us" pop-up camper.) Not sure which loop we will be on but extremely excited.

I am hoping to make a Disboard Camping Sign for our spot.....so if you see our green mickey head and our 1992 Starlite Meterorite Pop-up...come say hello.....

Congrats on your first new camper venture to the Fort !
We would LOVE to be there, but it's just not in the stars for us, :sad1:

But just as a reminder, Sept. at Bay Lake actually is the start of fish going on bed and the fishing sholud be very nice at the Fort then (if you have the time :goodvibes )

Ya'll are gonna have such a great time !

We are all very excited, in fact I have already started packing. Now, I just hope that I don't forget anything. I'm a list girl and my three pages of notes and check-off sheets are about to drive my DH crazy. But I have to be organized and my guys have never been camping before ever, so I'm hoping I make it fun and as comfortable as possible. (It's been years since I've been camping. When I was a little girl...my family and I went all the time and I loved it. Actually I've missed camping a lot.)

If anyone has any tricks and/or tips on anything from set-up to take-down or even "don't miss this at the campground" ideas, please share.....I'm all ears. :goodvibes

We love to fish; never even considered fishing at Disney before.....I will have to tell my DH and DS about that. Thank you

I think that is an excellnt decision. :)
I am checking in this Friday and will be leaving on the 6th. Look for my lime green Disboards sign and my Mickey Lamp post, probably in the 1900 loop if your looping around and out site seeing.

Have fun and a great Birthday trip...see ya there!

Do yourself a favor.
Put all of your lists on your computer and save them.
I suspect that you may be needing them again.

I wish I could be at the Fort soon.

Please post a trip report so those of us stuck at home can live vicariously through you.

Lots of Fort pix please. :thumbsup2
