Change of plans - suggestions?

We're paying OOP for food this time (first time we don't have free dining!) and my daughter is now 10. She's not a big eater and will happily pick at a kids meal, but I'm just now realizing that Chef Mickey's is adult price for her no matter what. I am NOT prepared to spend $40 on her for breakfast! (Especially since she's eaten there before AND has met the characters many times - we were mostly going because it's my mother's first time there and we thought it would be a fun sending off on our last morning.) I know she'll grab a muffin and some bacon and be done.

So anyway - any suggestions for breakfast the day we're leaving (outside of parks)? Somewhere that my kiddo can eat off the kids menu and it's not a set price? Not too adventurous, because my mother pretty much has the same palate my daughter has :) I was thinking Kona (those pineapple macadamia pancakes look pretty amazing!) But want a few other options to look into.

We loved our breakfast at Kona! Whispering Canyon Cafe comes to mind. If your departure day is Saturday or Sunday, the Swan has a character breakfast (Garden Grove) although I have no idea of the pricing. Trail's End offers a breakfast buffet and so does the Wave but of course the prices are set. Boma is another popular choice but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

I guess I'm not opposed to a set price, more that I'm opposed to the $40 price tag :) I'll take a look at those menus and prices, thanks!

We ate at Whispering Canyon last trip. My fiance's a picky breakfast eater - sometimes he's in the mood for a big breakfast, other times he's fine with a $7 plate of bacon eggs and toast. WCC was perfect for this. We both ended up with the skillet for $16.49. The kids next to us had the kids portion of the banana bread french toast. I was uber jealous!

Thanks, right now I'm hovering between Kona and WCC ... my booking date is tomorrow, so I'd better get deciding :)

Kona Café did not impress me and my husband. We love it for dinner, but breakfast reminded me of IHOP. I was looking forward to the Tonga Toast and it was kind of a let down. That's may just be us though. Some people love it! Good luck!
