Change in number of people?

I was just wondering what happens if you book an ADR for 3 people but only 2 people show up? I've been trying for Coral Reef for 2 but the CM says they only have openings for 3+.

I was told by a CM that it is easier to go down than to add a person to a table. Just let the hostess know when you go to check-in.
