Okay, am I crazy? i have had all kinds of problems with the Disney website lately, but this really surprised me.
I was planning out a trip for the week of New Years, I've been working on this for a while now...
I have a notebook with all of the Resorts and the estimated cost for the packages for each party will be.
A couple of weeks ago I checked again and they were all different by about $200.
No, time to work on it, I had some other things going on, I figured I would get a TA, as soon as our arrangements were more concrete.
But tonight, I went on the site to check into things before our next group get together. (the group thats going to Disney together!!)
Anyway, where I clearly remember the Dining plan being an additional $39, it is now $41???
I realize this doesn't seem like a lot, but somethings are really starting to add up.
You plan and save, and everytime I get ready to finalize my reservations, the @#$# prices are different!
What gives!?!?
Oh, I'm sorry for the long post, and for loosing my temper, I guess money issues get to me now days:headache::sad2:
I miss my Disney time,(I know many others are to this year) and I wish they wouldn't make it more difficult to get there!
Tell me I'm not crazy, and someone else has seen a difference? I haven't seen anything on the boards about price changes.:confused3
Thanks

Disney has not released pricing for 2010 yet. 2010 Room rates and 2010 packages are usually announced in August which includes pricing for the meal plans. I would plan for an increase in the cost.

I'm not sure where you see that pricing so I can't specifically comment on that.

I just looked on the website and when you check out package prices it shows the $41. Just for the heck of it I out in dates for this month and it showed the new price.

I booked our reservation for December 24th - Jan 2nd several months ago. Just for kickers I just priced out the same exact package on the Disney website and the cost is $154 more than what I paid. So Disney certainly has raised their prices over the past couple of months.

Interesting. I just did this too and it came out to the $39.99.

That is interesting....to say the least. I wonder ?? I just called last week to add the ddp onto my package and was told by several cms that the price was $39.99 per adult....I wonder what they will jack the kids prices up to. Im still debating upon whether or not to add this on though. If the price has in fact been increased then I will have an answer for us~a big fat no :)

On the website, the components choices for booking online in the section under Dining & Entertainment where you would click to add the dining plan, it says "For less than $41 per adult per night, you can upgrade your package to the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining"

When you actually go to book, though, the price for the plus dining option comes out to the same $39.99 per night. I got a quote for Port Orleans Riverside for a package room & tix, then added the "plus dining" option. Subtracting the original room & tix, the meal plan cost by itself comes to $239.94 - divide that by 6 & the per day cost is still $39.99.

Don't know why they put in the "less than $41 per day" --although that statement is of course true, it would make more sense to say "for less than $40 per day".

Maybe they're getting ready to raise the daily rate & this wording got put on the website early?

WOW!!!!! Soon Disney is going to have to have specials all the time if they keep uping their prices.....:scared1:

EXACTLY!!
But not even my TA that I have been talking to could explain why!
especially because the quotes I had were from the Dis website and not something she had gotten from them and had a record of. Next time I will know better. I thought I was saving us both a little work. We had not come to an agreement on the exact dates or a place to stay, so I was using the WDW website to look up the prices, go over the ideas with everyone then I would get together with the TA.
From now on, I'll go through her FIRST!! That way she'll have a copy of everything!
