Change in DFTW Custom Pricing

This applies only to those planning custom weddings.

FTW has released the new pricing structure and I thought I would share:

Mon - Thurs: $10,000 minimum
Fri and Sun: $15,000 minimum
Sat: $20,000 minimum

Well.. they say the average wedding is between 17k and 30k... so I guess FTW is just keeping up. A tad extravagant for my blood though!

I'm curious to see if there's a price jump with any of the intimate weddings.

Wow! It looks like they're really trying to get people to have more weekday weddings. I wonder if this will decrease the number of weddings at WDW.

WHAT! How did you find out about this? Maybe it's just a nasty rumor! So, I wonder if prices are increasing for all the services as well. That is a bit insane! When you say "if you are currently working with an SM" doesit count if I have been in contact with one via phone & email and have set up a site visit or do I need to have something more in the works to be grandfathered in? I have been debating on whether to have the Disney wedding or have the wedding back in my hometown of Nashville, TN. This just might make the decision a bit easier

This is not a nasty rumor. If it's a rumor, I post that I heard a rumor.

This is fact, can be verified via your SM/EM, and also on the Disney FTW website. They haven't updated all the pages yet, but it is in the Couples Guide under the Custom wedding heading.

Do note, at this point, no one who this pricing change effects has gone to contract yet, so your date will still be flexible. If you were originally planning a Saturday wedding, you can move to a weekday wedding and not have to meet the really high mins.

I had a 50 person wedding, with DJ and M&M and used outside vendors for floral, video and photo and still exceeded my $10K min by $1400. If you use Disney for all your services, for the typical wedding (30 or more people), you should have no problem meeting the $10-$15K ranges.

Also to note....These mins are BEFORE taxes and gratuities, just as before.
