We ate at CRT on the 30th of Sept and the menu was completely different from the one on Allears - I was disappointed :( the appetizer, entree, and dessert I had planned on eating (as well as the "back up" I had chose just in case what I wanted wasn't available)

Missing from the new menu:
Lamb chops
Herbed chicken
salmon
prime rib
blt salad
crab cakes
brulee (instead was flan)

It was nice (I ended up getting roast beef and DH got a pork chop) but I don't see us going back anytime soon:confused3

So what was on the menu since so much was missing?

I'm curious to know this as well since we have an ADR in December (our first time eating there) and the main reason for me booking there was for the prime rib and salmon :(. The items that are missing are 4 out of the 6 listed on the menu according to Allears .

Thanks for posting, I just showed my husband the new menu and he is happier with the new menu.

How much more can they cheapen the menu? I wish my memory would fail me and I would forget how good the food used to be here. The days of real butter, excellent salads, prime rib and filet to die for and desserts you just couldn't pass up.

Ah, but then I remember...it's all about the children and the princesses...and how much money are we willing to pay to eat swill with the princesses which, as it turns out is now about $50 a person, eh?

There was no duck or "fried chicken" on our menu

I can't remember what was in place of the duck, but there was a whole fried cornish game hen instead of fried chicken.

The roast beef was - ok - not worth the price (I was looking forward to the prime rib I had heard so much about)

the soup of the day was beef barley (was wonderful)

Uggh I really wish they would not have changed it, but now that they have, I need to decide if it is still worth 2 ts, what do you all think?

We just had lunch there last week and I was so disappointed that they do not have the pork tenderloin OR the CHOCOLATE BUCKLE for dessert. I had them twice before at lunch and had really talked them up to the DH (his 1st visit).
DH had the pork chop and it was good but not as good as the tenderloin (which I am sure cost more than the chop). They had 2 fish options which I don't care for so I had the beef pie (which I had declined before). The new desserts were just ok. We had the chocolate moose and caramel creme (not that great).
Wish they would bring back the BUCKLE.

I think we might end up getting the Beef Tenderloin, and the Pork Chop.
Has anyone had either of these?

For dessert we are just going to get each other chocolate slippers. :lovestruc

Is there a seperate kids menu, or do they have to order off of this? If we end up going and neither of my kids like anything, can me and my husband order and the kids get something afterwards, elsewhere at a CS?

I am curious about the kids menu as well. I haven't been before, therefore I can't compare to what used to be. But what I see on the new menu sounds good at least.

There is a separate kids menu that they can order off of. For breakfast, it's just a typical eggs/bacon/sausage plate, almost like the adult breakfast option but with smaller portions.

For lunch and dinner, they use the same childrens menus which consist of items like chicken tenders, hot dogs and the like. I'm pretty sure that they have a chicken w/ pasta meal as well, but I've never really looked at the kids menu at length. All in all, most kids are able to find something they'd like.

If you by any chance have any infants in your party (2 or under), they also provide some complimentary buttered noodles for them.

We always overreact to changes at first on this board. Let's wait a bit and read some reviews of the new menu before judging it a failure. Actually, the fried chicken and cobia look delicious!

We ate in the castle in 2005, before it was a character meal. The food then was wonderful. Totally different atmosphere. Low lighting, romantic.....

I actually liked the meal better than before. We had a WONDERFUL meal here and we are very excited to go back. Any who wants to see some of the selections go to the September 2010 Disney Food link on my signature there are some pictures there of CRT. :)
