As above; have waitlisted Poly Tower Ressy for 1BR Suite, checkin 9/6. Already have a confirmed ressy at PVH suite, but would like to upgrade to Tower. Hold my breath or not?

It seems to me that most rooms revert back to the hotel side as breakage and they will try to rent them as cash if they are within 30 days. Not all, but most.

How long is your reservation for? If it is one or two nights, maybe. Anything over that I would say not a chance. That’s just from my experience, so I could be wrong.
I agree chances are not likely, especially inside the 30 day window, but don’t give up hope! We’ve had a waitlist come through at 17 days out so you never know.

Don’t give up the waitlist. There is always the chance you could get really lucky. I’ve read of it happening. It’s just never happened for me.
My experience is that most “last minute” waitlist fulfillment happens around 30 days out. It seems people try to cancel before the holding restrictions kick in. Other posters have mentioned this, and it’s true. I have gotten the occasional one night waitlist after that point but rarely. I’ve never experienced more than a two night reservation waitlist coming through after 30 days. Right now for example I have a waitlist in for three nights that same second week of September, trying to upgrade from a one to two bedroom. One of our kids (college student) decided to jump onto our reservation two weeks ago. We seem to find ourselves in this situation a lot. We will fit into a one bedroom but we prefer more room! I’m not sure why I even put in the waitlist because I know it won’t happen. But hope never dies.
