Ok, I know that no one here knows the answer, but DH and I have been heavily debating this topic for days and I’m opening the convo up for input from others.
We’re currently booked on a 5 night Merrytime double dip on the Fantasy in early November.
We saw that the Dream is going to be doing double dips now instead of Nassau when they first start up and we’re debating how long we think that will continue for.
The main reason we’re discussing this is: we’d rather push it to a December sailing on the Dream if the Bahamian sailings are all going to be double dips for awhile.
TLDR: We have a bunch of reasons why.
Long version, here are many of the reasons why: it’s just a straight up better time for us, and also, I’d rather pay less for a shorter sailing and get the double dip still. The only reasons we booked the sailing we did is that it’s a Merrytime and it’s a double dip. We’ve got several other sailings booked beyond that and would be happy to drop the 5 night to a shorter one to check those two boxes and sail for less money at a better time for our schedule. Also, my kids are under 12 and waiting another month means there’s a greater chance they might get vax before sailing. I also slightly prefer the Dream to the Fantasy but that’s not a big factor.
I need to pay in full on the November sailing this week to book activities but now I’m questioning dumping it for December. What does everyone else think, will they keep up the 2 stops at CC in lieu of Nassau for awhile or is that not sustainable?
