Chances of a VB Beach Cottage at 7 months?

Planning my trip for this time next year (Sept 2009) and am going to book soon at my 11 month window for my 5-6 days at WDW (hopefully THV!!). At the 7 month window I'd love to solidify 5 days at VB prior to WDW in a Beach Cottage but have no idea if the availability will be there...........

any thoughts or opinions would be so appreciated!

Oh and I'm looking to do a Sun - Thurs because 104 points per night for a Fri or Sat night is just plain crazy!!

I called at 9:00 am at the 7 month mark for sun to thurs, March 15 to the 20th 2009. I was actually surprised that I got it. I would think that September
would not be any harder to get. Good luck, I am really looking forward to staying at VB for the first time.

I think that in Sept. you have a chance. If it was Spring or Summer I wouldn't have thought you would have a prayer... until now.

Pollyhm83 - That sure was your lucky day!! I hadn't heard of anyone getting a BC (Weekday) during the Spring or Summer at 7 months. Congrats!

Does anyone know what are your chances of getting a regular room at the Inn during January? I know my parents would love to try VB then.

We are very excited, never stayed at VB before. I was very surprised to get the BC as well, the funny thing is the cm on the phone kept saying are you sure you want to go to the beach in the winter.(I said we're from Canada it will be warm to us). We are taking my SIL, BIL, and two neices with us.

Actually, March can be a nice month, especially later in the month. The air temps can be iffy and run the scale, but the ocean temps are pretty consistent and in my opinion quite acceptable in the low 70's

We have done the beach cottage twice. Each time was end of April and for both vacations the cottage was booked at less than seven months. In fact, one room was added on at less than 2 months.

Availability for Fri and Sat can also be easy to get. Friends have been at the resort when the Friday nights had beach cottages staying empty.

They are hard to get in the summer but other times of the year are definitely attainable.

Thank-you Rob for the weather chart. 73 degrees is about as warm as our lake gets some summers (this one especially), so that wont be too bad.
Wilson, nice to talk to fellow Barrie resident, I will let you know how we enjoy Vero Beach.
