Chances of 2br stnd view 7 mos out..BWV

Thinkiing of BWV for next trip.. but would like to conserve points and hopefully get a standard room.. Are these the first to go?

They do tend to be the first to go. Your chances depend on the time of year. From Oct 1 - the 2nd week of January they aren't very good

You can try and it IS possible. I booked a 1 bedroom standard view for the last week in January at exactly 7 months, this was about a month ago.

Possible but not likely. You'll have to be real lucky. Yes, they are the first to go at the 11 month window. Good luck!

We did it in May. I booked a one bedroom standard view at 7 months. I also go my room request! Good Luck.

I got a standard view 1 bedroom one time in late April at 7 months. Used a friend's BCV points. She was also able to get a 1 bedroom concierge at AKV for late June last year. There are slower times of the year. As someone else said, October through December are very difficult because of Food & Wine and the Christmas activities.

Just 2 days ago I got a BWV standard view studio for 10/30 & 10/31. That's a Friday and Saturday over F & W Fest at Epcot. I had to waitlist for Sunday but was thrilled to get Fri/Sat. You really never know. It all depends on the time of year and a little bit of

Now that one is one of the shockers - and proves that anything MIGHT happen - and one of the cases that makes me doubt the waitlist works as billed. I can't believe that there wasn't a waitlist of someone wanting to move from Preferred to Standard for those nights. But its sure cool for you.

None of the reported success stories surprise me, although Halloween weekend is a little surprising. Friday and Saturday nights do tend to book more slowly than the week nights, though.

All of the times listed (late April, May, September and late January) are among the easier times to get something at 7 months. No one should count on getting SV at 7 months. It possible, but very unlikely. Far more are disappointed than successful

Thank you everyone for the responses! We are looking at 3rd week in July. We just got back from BCV and was shocked we were able to get it..at 7 mos out. We do need a handicapped roll/in shower room so that may make it easier.. ? OR harder or knows.

One thought I have - with AKV and BLT opening up, that may make more rooms available at the older resorts as members try out the new ones. I stayed at AKV Kidani last month.

Thats what I was thinking too.. We own at AKV.. and were going to do three days there.. and 7 at BWV.

I'd bet that would make it much harder to get. If they have already assigned all the handicapped accessible standard units, but still have other standard units, you wouldn't be able to get one.
