Chances for Ressie

We are new members to the DVC. Our home resort is SSR. We are hoping to stay at VWL for a stay of Jan 11 to Jan 19 2009. What do you think our chances of getting the reservations at the 7 month window?

Should we make a ressie for a one bedroom at SSR to secure a room now?

I think you have a very good chance of getting a reservation at VWL for those dates if you call when the 7 month window opens.

If it makes you feel better to make a reservation at SSR now, go for it. But it's not necessary.

If you don't get the VWL reservation at 7 months, you can make the back up reservation for SSR at that time.

January is one of the easier months to book at the 7 month window and it would be a total shock if SSR were sold out for your January dates before the 7 month window opened.

Jan 11 is the full marathon, so that day might be a little harder to get than the others. Most runners either stay on after the marathon or leave on Monday.
