Dh and I will have the opportunity to go out ALONE in Disney - my parents want to take the kids at least one night (if not more).

Where should we go??? We want to get a nice dinner and do something... anything you recommend for adults without kids in Disney??

Thanks for any input!

You could try one of the signature restraunts like California Grill, Yachtsman or Artist Point. You may even consider going down to the Boarrdwalk to go to Jellyrolls or even DTD and go to the Comedy Stop (I think that is what it is called) or Adventures Club.

You could also go to The Worldshow Case and have a nice diner there at Le Cellier or Alfrado's and walk around.

There are so many choices... I hope you have a blast :earboy2:

DH and I usually have dinner at Le Cellier and then get an adult beverage and watch Illuminations. Afterwards, we walk out the International Gateway enterance over to the Boardwalk. If it's baseball season, DH will insist we go to ESPN to see how his beloved White Sox are playing. (Thankfully this year it was all good!) If it's not, we'll go to one of the many establishments on the Boardwalk. You can catch a bus from in front of any of the hotels to DTD and then back to your resort if staying on property.

There are also many wonderful restaurants in the DTD area that you can enjoy. You can then walk off dinner and look in the shops, or even catch a movie that's not rated G!

Have a great time. It's so nice when you have the opportunity to spend couple time at WDW.

How old are your kids?

When our kids were little, we took the same opportunity to have a leisurely sit down dinner (we chose Marrakesh - one of our favorites), and stayed out to see Illuminations and actually take more than two seconds in the WS shops - they were too little to stay out that late and too antsy to shop.

Now they are older and can go to signature restaurants and stay up late enough for Illuminations, but still too little to really get a kick out of DisneyQuest (we haven't been yet, my six year old isn't quite ready), so dinner in DTD and DisneyQuest could be fun - but we didn't go kid-less this trip.

If you want to have an alcohol induced good time, the monorail drink-o-thon (start with dinner at CG, Narcoosees, Citricos, or even Artists Point and take the boat over to start the bar hap at CG) could be a lot of fun.

Being cheap, I think Cirque du Soliel is wonderful, but we just took our six and seven year old for the first time. If we'd had the opportunity when they were three and four, I think I'd have loved to go without them. Its an OK show for little kids, but a lot of money and they don't quite appreciate it yet. But its an amazing show for grown ups and older kids.

And, of course, Kungaloosh!

I was hoping that my inlaws were going to join us, but they can't. But, dh and I are going to Artists Pointe and putting the kids in their kid care place for a few hours. If I can't get all night, I'll take a few hours and a dinner in peace! LOL
