Chance of Getting BWV waitlisted on Jersey Week?

I booked OKW for the NJ Teachers' Convention in November. I was just down and decided I wanted something near Epcot. I called on Friday to get a standard BWV room since it will only be an extra point to stay there and there was no availability. None at BCV either. What do you think the chances are of getting the standard studio?

I truly think the chances are zero. There are very few Standards - they go quickly any time of year. Jersey Week on top of Food & Wine Fest causes them to go even more quickly. As a matter of fact, I would think any reservation at BWV would be challenging that week. I daresay there has been a waitlist for Standard View since somewhere in the 9-10 month time frame.

I agree with mikesmom - zero. If any of the standard view studios get cancelled, they'll go to people on the waitlist ahead of you. Jersey week tends to book quickly - the SV and BW views were probably gone (and had waitlists) before the 7 month window even opened.

You might be able to get PV - Pool/Garden or BCV, but even those chances are not great.

It doesn't hurt to waitlist anyway and hope that we "party poopers" are wrong.

I would go ahead and waitlist.

I am currently waitlisting for a one bedroom standard view at BWV. I originally booked at my "home", then, at the seven month mark, waitlisted, day-by-day for BWV. So far, I got all but my last night! As a matter of fact, two of my nights were available when I called at seven months!

I'm also going "Jersey Week", November 5-10.

waitlisted for seven months for same week last year and did not come through. stayed as ssr for 11 nights then and loved loved loved it.

By all means wait list yourself. We have a standard studion S-Th at BWV that week and are contemplating giving it up. If you are interested, PM me with your email address and if we decide to change our vacation, we can work something out.

Our waitlist for BWV last year was not successful for Jersey week.

Our waitlist for Jersey Week 2004 was not successful. We waitlisted for OKW, but I told MS I would accept anywhere. I was looking for a 2 bedroom but told them I would take 2 studios if not 2 bedrooms available. Nothing ever came through at any of the DVC resorts. I called the OKW resort directly 1-3 days prior to our dates and the CM told me they were booked solid that week. Now granted, I only got on the waitlist at 3 months out, but I still think this is a highly popular time of the year due to F&W and Jersey Week.

Unfortunately I agree with the above posters. Your chances of a BWV SV studio are slim. I made the mistake of missing my 11 mos booking window at BWV by three weeks. We needed a 2br and we were still deciding on the exact dates. I was able to get a 2BR but had to take PF. We usually try to get the SV because it saves points for another trip. Good luck though.
