Chance of Dolphin late check out with SPG?

SPG told me this was "upon availability". Has anyone been denied late checkout due to heavy volume at the Dolphin?
We're trying to plan our last day - Friday, April l9. If they deny it, will we check out at the usual ll a.m. time?
Is this something they won't know until the morning of checkout?

You can ask the night before your check-out . Generally, they can't tell you anything prior to that. My daughter was denied a late check-out one time, because the hotel was fully booked. Any other time when we've asked, it's always been OK, altho, if we've had more than one room on the ressie, we have had to consolidate into one for late check-out. We could not get it on all rooms..just one.

And, yes, if there is no late check-out, then you will need to be out by 11:00 a.m..
You can pay for a late check-out of 2:00pm, I believe, for $30.00.

And, of course, guests staying with the AP discount get late check-out of 1:00 pm, included.

The Dolphin will hold your luggage, if you need them to, if you are not able to get a late check-out.

BTW--several of the SD Cheerleaders, as well as Milo, and SideShowBob, will be there by April 17th, . You will have to join us in the lobby for a mini-meet or at the hot tub or the pool--or we are all going to play mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens on the evening of the 17th. We would love to meet more DIS-ers!

As an SPG Platinum member, I am always given late check-out of 4:00 pm. I never leave before 5:00 pm, and have never experienced any problems with any property, (usually in two-room suites). The resort will always try to work with you and accomodate you. Even if "denied", you may ask for the front desk manager and explain the urgency/need for your request. Go to the desk in person the day prior to your check-out and ask for your late check-out. I wish you luck, and hope you enjoy your time at the Dolphin!

We will be consolidating into one room by the end of our stay, so I'll keep my fingers crossed on the late check out. You might be reading about me on the front page of the paper once we've lost the second room and move into one.

I definitely will look forward to meeting you cheerleaders. Will you have some kind of easel up with your schedules? I'm sure we'll be seeing you around the pool area as we have lots of down time planned for this trip. See you guys then!
