Champion Airlines Question

Has anyone flown Champion Airlines before? If so, how are they overall? I think they typically use one type of airplane (can't remember the model) but are they similar to say delta, etc?

I'm used to flying American and their "extended" seats (although I heard that they no longer will be offering the extra leg room) so I am not sure how Chamption Airlines will be.

Finally (kind of embarassing for me to ask) but I'm not a small person but not a large person either. I don't flow over into anyones seats, etc. but after I had my daughter, and have dropped 30lbs + all pregnacy weight I still have a pouch/apron. (Seems that even though I lost pregnancy weight +30lbs on top of it my body shape changed after the kiddo). Basically, American Airlines seat belts do fit me find, but I like some play room - therefore I usually get an extender for comfort. Does anyone know if Champion Airlines seats are as "comfortable" and do they offer extenders on request?

I just flew Champion to Cancun from Denver. They fly 727's and my husband says they are an older model (or at least our plane was). It was clean, kind of noisy (engine drone), and the seats were typical airline. I lost 30 pounds in the last year and am at ~210 and I fit OK (actually better than the last time I flew, but I chalk that up to the weight loss). But I have never had to use the extender and I never "over-flowed" my seat - was just not as comfortable.

One thing I did notice, as did one of my companions, was there seemed to be less padding at the bottom of the seat back and when the child in the row behind kicked the seat, it seemed to go right through.

I'll be flying American next March but can't really compare for you as the last time I flew them was five years ago. (At that time, American seemed more comfortable than United.)

I am sure Champion will offer extenders. It's pretty standard.

American is removing the "more room throughout coach" seating since while we all claim to want comfort we don't really take that into consideration when buying a plane ticket!
