Are you allowed to bring champagne off the ship onto Castaway Cay? Does it matter if you bought it with your wine package or it was one of your allotted two bottles? Staying in a cabana, so it would be discreet either way. Thanks.

Well, the DCL website says this:

• Alcohol brought on board may not be consumed in any lounge or public area.

So, I'd say you can't drink it on Castaway Cay.

But, you certainly could purchase champagne on the island.

Castaway is technically a public area, so no it's not allowed. But, they won't search your bag as you get off the ship so no one would know. Just keep it in the mini fridge in the cabana when you're not consuming it. Also don't take it down on the beach since it is glass.

PrincessShmoo is right (when is she not?) but I do wonder if having a Cabana changes anything. Is the cabana itself still considered a public area despite being off limits to those not in your party?

But no issue if it's a bottle I bought with the wine package, right? It may impact which package I purchase if I know I can take one of my entitlements off the boat to the cabanas.

It's not the same but I think (pretty sure) you can order alcohol packages to be served in the Cabana. Champagne being among the choices. I think you're supposed to receive the "menu" in your cabin at the beginning of the cruise.

Does anyone have experience with purchasing a bottle of champagne while in a cabana? This hadn't even occurred to me, but it sounds awesome.
