We did this excursion about 2 years ago and it was very nice. The catamaran is not the giant kind that hod 60 or 70 passengers. This one holds about 25-30, and is very nice. Our crew was very good - mostly college aged kids helping the Captain. It is a leasurely cruise to St John, with lots of good sightseeing on the way. The boat anchors in Honeymoon Bay, and you can snorkle around several coral formations. The beach is nice, and uninhabited except for the few boats anchored in the bay. You are within sight of the Caneel Bay Resort, which is the one the Rockerfellers developed and is supposedly quite nice. You have about 1 - 1 1/2 hours in the water or on the beach. On the return cruise they provide a very nice luncheon with several salads and sandwiches. They provide all drinks, including champagne, sodas, etc. It is a very nice, uncrowded time, and is very relaxing! We liked it more than some of the other sailing excursions we have taken. To us it was worth the extra $. Will do it again in November!
