When I was a child, my parents took me to WDW & had chalk portraits (not characatures) done of my sister & I (late 70's). Does anyone know if they still do these? My daughter looks so much like me at that age, that I really would like to get one of her & have the 2 framed.
Thanks!princess:

Last year I had my 5 DD's siloette(?spelling) doen and I would love to have a chalk drawing done of them this year. Does anyone know about how much they would cost too? Also does anyone know how many people they can put in one drawing?

There is an excellent portrait artist in the lobby of the Beach Club. I am not sure if it is chalk, it may be oil pastels. You could call the resortfor more information, I am sure. The finished products were beautiful. I did not notice the price because my DD was too young to sit that long...but he did tell me that he will paint from a snapshot also. Good luck!

They have some very good artists at the GF. I don't recall what it cost, but it is a good likeness. It was more than the charicature.

We got my chalk portrait done a couple yrs ago and it looked great. We did DS (then 17mo) in Jan and looked pretty good. Both times were at the MK. I think once was near Liberty Square and I think 1 time was on Main Street but not sure. Can't remember the price but it was around $40 framed. You don't have to get it framed but I thought it would get smudged if I did not. I'm sure they protect them well to not get smudged but the paper size was odd I think and I knew it would cost more to get a custom frame.

I think the paper silohuette cutting on Main Street is one of the coolest souveniers. It was dirt cheap as far as souvies go and you get 2 (reverse copy). We talked to lady doing it and she said she was self taught and it was perfect. The hair and little details are amazing. We saw it at the MarketPlace and was like 3X the price and the exact same size...kinda weird.

I'm not sure if they are caricatures or not, but there is a chalk artist in EPCOT in the France area, on the water side just across from the buildings. I've never looked very closely. I would guess though even if they normally do caricatures they may do a straight portrait if requested. Sorry, again, I haven't looked closely so I don't know the price.
