Has anyone used chair covers for a boardwalk or other reception? I would like to use different chairs altogether but $15/chair is a little outrageous! So I was wondering if anyone has used chair covers either through Disney or an outside company. I was quoted $4.10/chair from an outside company, "Chair Covers and Linens." Hoping someone has either used the company or has another suggestion...thanks!

I am using Emily @ Charming Events she is charging:

Chair Covers: Ivory White Chair Cover with Lilac Satin Sash.
$6.00 per chair.

I'm using Emily for all of my decor other than the chair covers...she said there was no way she can work with the price on the chair covers. I'm having 100 guests, the $1.90 difference really helps out a lot!

I never thought about using an outside vendor for chair covers....my reception is in MGM studios, since its inside a park are we required to use everything disney? I know we have to use disney floral!

Yes I think you are right. I believe for any in park event Disney floral (which takes care of the linens) must be used.

Does anyone have the exact Disney prices for chair covers, over-lays, just bows on the back, etc??

Plain Chivari chairs are $15...for a reg chair with a cover and a bow I believe Disney is charging around $8.50 per chair. Overlays depend on the type of material (not sure on the prices though) and napkins (besides the plain catering ones which are free) are $1-3 each depending on material satin being most expensive I believe.

Yes, I was quoted $8.50 for a regular chair cover with sash! :rolleyes2

Cheeks605, for my vow renewal’s dinner party, Disney’s Floral Department decorated the following venues at the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park's Great Movie Ride: Gangster Area, Western Area, Land of Oz Area, and the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Area. Disney Floral did a beautiful job with everything, and each venue was decorated in the appropriate style. To help showcase this, I have just placed four photos into my on-line photo album. I’ll share links to those photos here so that you can see exactly what sort of magic Disney Floral is capable of creating.

Gangster Area – black tablecloths, red overlays, red cylinders with candles, black chair covers, silver-corded sashes

Western Area – black tablecloth, burlap overlays, western-themed centerpieces, black chair covers, burlap sashes tied with raffia and real daises

Land of Oz Area – sherbet-colored tablecloths, sherbet-colored overlays, Oz-themed centerpieces, white wooden chairs, sherbet-colored sashes tied in bows

Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Area – light-up tables that changed colors constantly, white tablecloths, black spandex chair covers

If you take a look in my on-line photo album (click here), you’ll see a few more photos of the venues. One of these days I hope to get around to putting more photos into that album.

I hope what I've shared has helped. Again, Disney is capable of making your wildest dreams come true. Their Floral Department truly can create ~magic.~
