Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for? (comments welcome)

I usually put way more thought into my costumes but I'm pretty excited about how these turned out!

For the 5k I'm punting and running in a "I'm just here for the snacks" tshirt and sparkle skirt.

For the 10k my inspiration was one of my favorite Disney desserts: cupcakes!



I wrapped layers of tulle in a white chenille. Hoping I can swirl this around me in a way that sort of looks like icing. No I didn't do a test run in this. What could go wrong?!




Then I found these ball pit balls that will be perfect "sprinkles."



For the half, I'm running as my favorite Disney snack: popcorn.
I made a shirt that (sort of) looks like the passholder popcorn bucket. I've got a yellow hat and tissue paper that can (hopefully) look like popcorn.



All of this is very seat of the pants but it is what it is!

If I have any hope of documenting this race weekend, I'd better do it in real time. If I wait, I'm sure it won't get done.

Went to the expo, saw Jeff Galloway (of course). He said it was nice to see me again, and I almost believe it because I often wear my Jeffing shirt.



I had to get this shirt! When I say I'm going into this weekend unprepared, I mean "bought my running fuel at the expo" unprepared! Where is the girl who had multiple spreadsheets to track all the running things?!

Oh hi. I'm still here, not dead. I leave for Marathon weekend in less than 2 weeks, seriously undertrained and with zero costume plans. But it's fine.

Canada continues to Canada. I'm not running in the snow but otherwise it's not bothering me as much as I expected it to. Layers, good boots, and an actual winter coat are working wonders.



I had a great time at Wine and Dine, even though I didn't finish my posts at the time. I'm happy with how all of my costumes turned out.

After the races I had scheduled a Capture Your Moment photopass session because this was the last race weekend of my "perfect year." The photographers did such a great job and we all had a lot of fun coming up with different poses.








And I got the picture I'd been dreaming of for a year.



I went for a perfect year instead of a perfect season because I didn't want to do Wine and Dine during my Dopey training, and it's all made up anyway so who cares!. I definitely enjoyed doing it this way, and the bonus was that I didn't see anyone else doing medal shots like this in October, so it was easier for me to get pictures.
