Certain States Inelligible

I was just on Disney's Vacation Club website and when I put in my state I got a message saying something about not being able to serve certain states. Does that mean since I live in Iowa that I can not buy DVC?

I believe that means they are not approved by your state to market to people in Iowa. You could join if you go to Disney World and sign the papers there - but they cannot talk to you or mail you anything when you're in Iowa.

They may be working on getting the approvals but just haven't been given the go-ahead yet by the state. New Yorkers are in the same boat at the moment.

Would someone please correct me if I'm not explaining this right.
