Cellular Service @ WDW

OK, here's one I did not know where to post on a specific board, so I figured my CB buds would help me out.

I have a Sprint PCS phone through work

DH has a Cingular phone

We really only need to bring one phone with us, which one should give us better service?

Any advice? personal experience?

I have Sprint PCS...and my phone works GREAT at WDW...except for when inside EPCOT Some days it worked...some days all I got was 'searching for service' !!

I'd say...bring both phones, at the very least if one's not getting good service in a particular area the other probably will. It also affords opportunity for your party to split up (ie: one going into a store to do some shopping while the other takes Jr for ice cream...just one example ) with no chance of getting 'lost'.

We use Cingular at WDW. We have to step outside buildings to get a signal, but it worked OK outside.

I have Sprint PCS and I will say my phone worked fairly well. I had the most trouble at AK when I tried to use it, but I also lost my antenna early on in my trip so I have no idea if that had anything to do with it. Inside buildings was where I had the most trouble and it really varied which ones I could get reception (my hotel was great) but in general I had good reception there. I don't think I dropped a call once while I was there. I agree with PandyPaws, bring both just in case.

We have Cingular and used ours to call each other while at WDW. We never had a problem both inside and outside. In fact, DH was clearer on the cell phone than my mom was on the land line. Go figure!

I have Verizon and used it in DW, in the hotels, resturants. never once touched a phone down there other then my cell phone, I loved the convienence and not getting an extra bill on my hotel room.

My sister and I both have Cingular and neither one of us had a problem. Both phones worked great.
