Celebrations?

Were visiting Disney this June and we booked a package before adding our guest, meaning we have to add him at check in. How can i make sure they know its his graduation and AND first visit? Im sure he'd love the pins and maybe if CM's knew it was his first visit theyd make his experience extra magical? Just want it to be prefect as can be lol!

I would just ask for the button at check-in for him, since he won't be listed on your reservation until his arrival. Honestly, other than the button, there's not much that they do anymore. You can wait until after he checks-in and add that he's celebrating his first visit and graduation on the reservation.

I've found if you want to guarantee pixie dust, you need to arrange it yourself. Other than wearing the buttons, it's out of your control. Thousands of people are celebrating something at WDW on a daily basis.

Something in me always assumed anyone who wears a button gets a little more attention throughout the day.. like a congratulations and such. Eh, maybe not. This is Ms. Perfectionist you're speaking to.. lol.. everything must be perfect (sad but true)

make sure and note it on all of your dinning reservations that your guest will be a part of - make sure that he wears his buttons.

But - like a PP said - if you want pixie dust, you have to plan for it yourself.

Maybe do a room celebration from disney floral and gifts for after they arrive?

Yes, many castmembers and some guests will congratulate him because he is wearing a button, but that's about all that is guaranteed. Some restaurants will bring him a cupcake or a dessert, a card or confetti on the table, or some other recognition of his celebration, but at others it will completely ignored. With all the buttons you see there are so many guests in DW celebrating something so it is best to arrange something yourself to ensure that his first trip and graduation are recognized.
