Celebration Roundup and Barbeque?

There is a new dessert menu, with options like cobbler and (IIRC) pecan pie. The prices are still 19.99 lunch, 24.99 dinner for adults, all you can eat. Drinks (other than water) and desserts are extra.

I love the food and the entertainment, but as always it depends on your taste.

Has anyone had whatever the "vegetarian option" is on their menu? Was it tofu or a faux meat (ie, such as a veggieburger, etc) product?

Yes, there was also some sort of huge cookie type dessert w/ice cream....

I wanted to try this SO bad and we had it booked for our trip last week and of course the ONLY day it rained was THAT day! BOOOOO! So we didn't get to go. But I am making SURE that if we go in June I am doing this lunch!!!

man, this is one of the places I keep craving........majorly craving.....and now with new desserts I want it even more!!!!! LOL

Do we need ADRs here?

We have not had reservations once and we've been able to get in all but 1 time we wanted to eat here. Only 1 time we were told they had no room, so we came back the next day and got in about 15 min. later. Longest wait has been 20 min. So IME no you don't need reservations, but YMMV.

Our waiter told us they make the baked beans from scratch.... they were to die for! seriously, you think how good can baked beans be right? together with the sausage it was my favorite thing in the meal!! lol... the rest was seriously good too...and they keep your buckets filled! at the end, we had a lot of chicken and ribs left over, and he brought us a container to take them which I thought was really nice! made a perfect late night snack! mmmmm now I'm reallllly craving those baked beans and sausage....

Seriously one of the best meals I had this last trip, and I am a long time Monte Cristo lover!

The vegetarian option was two generous skewers of bbq ish vegetables. The bite I tried was quite good and our friend really enjoyed them. It took FOREVER for them to be served, however. I might ask for them to start being cooked the minute you sit down!

Everything was SOOOO yummy. The baked beans, coleslaw, ribs and sausage were my favorites.

Service was just meh. When everywhere else you go cast members go out of their way to make your experience great, or you can tell they are just doing the very best they can under difficult circumstances, it is a little disconcerting to experience, but I wouldn't pass up that food again!

The live entertainment was quite lovely. The guitar player strolled around and played at each table, my boys loved it!

No Characters!? My daughter will be so dissapointed. We have PS in 2 weeks.
Good to hear the normal entertainment is worth it though.
So what is exactly on the menu now? BBQ chicken, corn on the cob...anything else?

OP, roll tide! :goodvibes

Do they still have "celebrations" on stage and ring the bell?

From scratch? No wonder I loved them so much. LOL I'm not a baked bean fan but man, those were awesome!!! They gave us containers too, we felt bad because they just kept bringing the food out and at the end we asked to take it and they brought us boxes. :)

When are you going? The menus differ from lunch to dinner. The basic menu is ribs, chicken (legs, thighs, breasts), corn bread, baked beans and coleslaw. For dinner they add sausages and corn cob wheels. Drinks and desserts are not included.

They did our last time eating there. It was super cute, they sang Happy Bday to a few people and had Anniversary songs too.

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can use your annual pass for a discount on this meal? I don't see it on the list, but find that odd at most are on there????
Thanks in advance for the help :)

10% AP discount, 15% for Premium AP. Haven't a clue why this doesn't appear in the AP publications - it has been true since they opened April 2, 2009.

argh! don't know why we didn't think to ask for our discount! oh well, I'll remember now for next time! :thumbsup2
