Celebrate Roundup and Barbecue opens Thursday Get ready to pay
The Refurb walls came down Monday night after park closing, and the first dress rehearsal was at lunch time on Tuesday, with
Disneyland Resort Management being the guinea pigs.
Basically everyone will eat the exact same meal, which the Main course will be BBQ Chicken and Ribs, though there will be a vegetarian option, along with the fixins, a cupcake for dessert and a beverage.
You pay in advance, similar to Goofys Kitchen. Adults at $28.99 and Children 3 through 9 are $18.99, put Tax and Tip are NOT included, and it adds up quickly.
California raised its Sales Tax 1% today (and that is not a joke), so it is now 8.75% in Orange County. And Disney adds 18% (on the pre-tax price) for a tip when they pre-charge for its character Meals.
So an Adult Meal starts at $28.99, but you add $2.54 in sales tax, and $5.22 for the tip, and it is $36.75 that is actually charged at the register. Kids Meals are $18.99, $1.66 sales tax and $3.42 for a tip, coming out to $24.02 total charge.
Annual Passholders do get their regular discount, and that is on all three amounts, so Southern California and Deluxe Annual Passholders pay 10% less, or $33.08 for Adults, and $21.66 for kids. Premium annual Passholders get their 15% off, so $31.24 for Adults, and $20.46 for kids.
Now, the price does include both the meal, and the entertainment, plus a gift bag for kids, but be prepared for a sticker shock, when they charge over 25% more than what is posted.
