Celebration Hotel and area?

Hi! I'm just curious if anyone has been to this area and stayed at the Celebration Hotel.

Does it have that 'Disney' feel? Do they provide transportation to the parks and whatnot?

Overall, what did you think? OR would you consider this location?

Hi there - I haven't stayed here, but have heard good things about this hotel.

I don't think it has a "Disney" feel (as the on site hotels) - but it is in the town that Disney built. They describe themselves as "a boutique hotel where the simplicity and innocence of turn-of-the-century Florida". If you want to feel the Magic the entire time you're there, I wouldn't stay here, however if you just want a nice hotel away from the parks, then this is probably a good idea.

They do have a scheduled shuttle to the parks.

Celebration itself was built like the old towns - with restaurants, a movie theatre, art galleries all with in a few blocks - they also have carriage rides on the weekends.

I have spent one night in the hotel. It is very nice, but there is NOTHING in it to suggest Disney. It is not a Disney hotel and it is not managed by Disney.

The hotel had very good service and my room was great. I liked being able to walk around the town.

I haven't stayed there yet (I intend to) but I did get the cook's tour and I was impressed.

No, it's not "Disney" in the sense that it is super themed, but it is a very classy hotel that is very much up to Disney standards. The immediate neighborhood is, I think, very Disney. The town, after all, was designed by the folks at Disney. Also, I think it would give you a very good sense of what it would be like to live in Celebration, if that interests you at all.
