Another working day down. . .just 4 more! Or, as I like to think of it, "a week from tomorrow (Wed), I'm out for SUMMER!!!"

Today is our SINGLE DIGIT DANCING DAY!!! And in our house, we really DANCE!!

Here we are this morning, at 6:30 am before we left the house, dancing:

Thanks, everyone! I know our dancing is dorky, but it's a tradition! Now. . .on to another update:


How many days is it?? 10 days!! 10 days!! 10 days!!! (well. . . now, it's 8, but you get the idea!)With all that has been going on in the last couple of weeks, I feel like I lost the last 10 between 20 and 10. I was a little freaked out when I realized we go to WDW NEXT WEEK!!

Our 10 day countdown dinner was Monday, May 21st. That also happened to be our last day of school (well, last regular day for me). Lots to celebrate!!

Here D and I are showing how many days it is, by the countdown calendar:

Our theme was “Chuggington”! After we got home, I set the table:

D did his part for the theme by playing with trains!

When Brian got home, they had to show me how many days it is. . .but D kept moving his fingers so I could see his face!

Here’s some traintastic taco salad (to practice pics of Disney food!!):

We are SO ready for vacation!! Bring it on!

Day 8 Dining:

We will do breakfast in the room, with maybe a snack at Main Street Bakery!
For lunch on our last park day, we always do Pecos Bill! It’s one of our very favorites! (I don't know how I don't have pics of that. . .I'll have to remedy that on this trip!!)

After a relaxing nap, we’ll head to Downtown Disney for a first for us. We are going to Fulton’s for dinner!

We’ve never been there before. The menu looks so good, and we are really, really excited to try it! Plus, you know how I love pics, and this looks like a great pic opportunity place!!

I hear you about losing those days between 10-20. There has been so much going on at my house, I feel like my departure day has just snuck up on me.

I feel like my departure day is flying up! Of course, the days between 4 and time to go will probably creep! You're on your way...hope you are having a marvelously magical day!

Memorial Day Weekend Roundup!

I know Memorial Day is technically tomorrow, but tomorrow will be devoted to PACKING!!! So I thought I’d post a little Weekend Review today!

D & I were both off Friday since Dad had a followup appointment (all is still going well, thank goodness!). We spent the day hanging out at home and getting ready. When Brian got home, we headed to the cabin for the weekend!

We hit some of our favorite things. . .

Dinner at No Way Jose’s

And fun in the hot tub!

The next morning, it was back to Splash Country! Since D has discovered this place, I don’t think we’ll ever get him anywhere else until it closes for the season!

This is my favorite pic of the day. . .No shoes, No shirt, No problems!!

This morning (Sunday), we headed to Apple Barn for a wonderful Southern breakfast

D loved the rocking chairs and feeding the geese there!

We’re back home now, and I am hitting the pre-vacation cleaning! It’s not too bad to clean when I keep reminding myself it’s Disney prep!

I'm so jealous that you're so close to so much fun. That's a lot of "so" isn't it?

My secret pleasure in this trip is that I work the 4 days leading up to our departure day (including *on* our departure day). My teens will be in charge of cleaning up the house before we leave... and they do an awesome job of it. Far better than I alone would do. So I totally get the cleaning, but I'm so glad my kids are grown and that I figured out how to make myself busy so I get out of it!
