Celebrating DS birthday a week late?

We are going to WDW a week after DS's 5th birthday. We didn't want to go his birthday week because it's presidents week, he was actually born on presidents day, we thought about naming him george or abe, but decided against it. Anyway, my question is..would it be silly to celebrate a week late while we are at WDW. I would love for him to experience some birthday magic, but if it's a week late, is that cheating? Just curious. Thanks!

Those of you who have done the birthday button. Do you get it just on their birthday or just one day of the trip at one park, or do you get one every day of your trip.
