We will be on the Magic February 28th. It is our second cruise.

My DH's birthday is March 1st. I know that they will be celebrate his birthday in the restaurant.

My DD's birthday is February 11th. Do you think I can ask the first night to our server to celebrate her birthday even if it was two weeks before the cruise ? She knows that we will celebrate my DH birthday but I would like to surprise her with a celebration too.

Hi momofofo22,

we were on the august 16th 2003 cruise, wich was absolutly perfect... and we did celebrate our DD birthday on the last night we were on the ship, the 22nd.
DD birthday is actually on the 28th of august, and it was not a problem at all.

Just let the maitre d or your server know, and i am sure they will take care of everything.

Have a great cruise...

Steff

We celebrated my son's that was about 4 days after the cruise. No problem. You can actually call ahead and have it added to your reservation. I would double check while there, just to be sure, but you can get it set up ahead of time.

Thank you for the info.

I will ask the server the first night.

She will be surprised.

you can celebrate any occasion at any time - in April we celebrated my 6 year old's birthday, which wasn't until May 8th. Our tablemates were doing thier daughter's birthday (which was in latter part of April) so we figured why not! They were each brought a cake with a white chocolate piece on top with a picture of the ship and given a Happy Birthday pin. When I asked how close a birthday needed to be, I was told "As long as it's within a year" meaning - if it falls at least 364 days from the date you celebrate, it's fine for them! So basically - all is well and you can celebrate anything you want - oh and I told them that night, so it wasn't something that HAD to be done in advance. This February - we will be celebrating my sister's birthday which will be in April. We were cruising last year during her birthday, but she had a medical emergency and wound up having emergency surgery at the Nassau hospital instead of enjoying the cruise! Took us two weeks and countless phone calls to get her returned to the states and that was WITH trip insurance! Some may say we are crazy to attempt to cruise again, but my sister's health is declining and she wants to experience it while she still can. Come talk to me after the cruise and see if I'm still upbeat, since after the fiasco last time around, I swore I'd never go out of the country with her again!. The memory fades though....LOL
