Celebrating birthday a week late?

When we go to Disney(I hope) on August 31, it will be exactly one week after my DS11 birthday. Do they only give out the special buttons to people whose birthday is that exact day? If not, where would we get one?

I have never had them ask to see any proof of the birthdate!


My Dsis brought her grandson (my great nephew) to WDW for his 6th birthday gift a couple weeks after his actual birthdate and we "celebrated" with a pin at each park we visited during his trip!

No exact date needed. Last year I took my bf for his 30th birthday and it was two weeks earlier, but because that was my gift to him, that was the time we were celebrating. Just go into any guest service centers in the front of the parks and they will be happy to give you a button. Epcot and AK have different buttons then MK and MGM.
