Hi all, We are booked at the contemporary Resort from the 21st-28th of Dec. MY wife and I are celebrating our 20th wedding Anniversary, Her 40th B-Day and My retirement from 21 1/2 Years in the ARMY. My question is has anyone notified the resort you're staying at of events like this and coordinated some kind of special room gifts , Baskest etc.... I'm not asking for a handout, I will pay whatever to suprise my wife and 2 DD's, just looking for ideas. We will also be in the Disney Magic the week prior on a 7-day Eastern cruise so it promises to be a great time and I just want to add to it, Thanks.

The pixies at www.giftsofalifetime.com can help arrange some special celebrations for you while at Disney.

My DW and I celebrated out 25th anniversary in May at WDW. It was on our PS for lunch at Crystal Palace and our server sprinkled confetti Mickeys all over the table. Michael, the server, also sang to us and brought us an anniversary cupcake!

One activity that's fun is the rehitchin' ceremony at the Garden Grill (The Land) at Epcot. Make a PS and ask them to note that you want to do the rehitchin' ceremony. When you check in with the hostess, mention it again.

Your server will "rehitch" you and if you are lucky you may get Pluto, Chip and Dale and even Mickey in your rehitchin' party. It comes with a certificate and a nice cake for dessert -- all included in your lunch or dinner price. (I think they'll do this at the Ice Cream Social as well.) Oh, almost forgot -- you also have to kiss to the count of 100! Well it's by 1's up to 10, then 10, 20, 30... until 100. But it's fun, especially if someone can videotape it for you.

How about a dinner at V&As? That is romantic and superb!

Mention it on your reservation and if something happens it will be true magic. You can always call and arrange for flowers, balloons, etc. to be delivered to your room -- ahead of time if you want.

In June we spent our first wedding anniversary at WL and notified prior to arrival. We were very nicely surprised at the upgaarde to Courtyard King bed plus champagne, baloons and card from Mickey and Minnie plus a basket of cookies and pretzels. It was all very nicely done especially to come back to the room to find baloons and card it made us feel very special.
To surprise your wife little extras can be ordered. But do mention its your anniversary/retirement/birthday and you never know what surprises you may get!!

I agree! Mention it to all!

Mention it when you check in and also any time you make a PS and want it to be special for the occassion. We have gone for our birthdays many times and anniversaries too. If you tell them when you make a PS, they usually will have the CM's at the resturaunt (and characters if you dine with them) come and sing and they'll give you a complimentary B-day or anniversary or even "happy retirement" desert. We have also received confetti and balloons and a b-day card from a favorite character waiting for us in the room when we checked in and sometimes at the resturaunts too!

Have fun!!

Thank you all for the great ideas . I plan on using them, I'll post a trip report on our return, have a great day and thank you.

We just returned from 5 days at WL. Upon check-in we told them that we were celebrating a special birthday. Upon our return from the parks the next day, they had brought in a beautiful cake. There was a tablecloth spread out on the bed, with plates, silverware, candles and matches. What a surprise and the cake was delicious!
