Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for me....my husband and I (and our kids) will be at WDW to celebrate our wedding anniversary in October. Any ideas for making it special? I know they do extra things for birthdays, but I couldn't find anything for an anniversary.....what has anyone else done?

We did a Wishes cruise out of the Grand Floridian with desserts & drinks from the GF. It was wonderful! :lovestruc

Our visit to MVMCP fell on our anniversary that trip. That made it extra special. Same this year!

We were given Happy Anniversary pins at check-in.

Took pictures of ourselves with the Mickey groom & Minnie bride ears somewhere :confused3

I think that was about it, other than the whole trip being a celebration of our anniversary & our son's birthday :)

We've celebrated all but one of our 5 anniversaries at Disney World. The best one by far was our 1st Anniversary. I made sure to include it on every one of our dining reservations. At Cinderella's Royal Table, they gave us a free champagne toast -- and then we got to keep the champagne glasses. They are an awesome reminder of the trip! We also got dessert at all but one of our dinners (we took our top layer for the actual night of our anniversary), and for that one we got a free champagne toast there too. We got keepsake cards signed by either the characters or the staff at a few restaurants. It was really a very special and magical week!

My other favorite dinner was our 4th anniversary. My parents were with us, so they kept DS and we went to dinner at California Grill - at the right time to see Wishes from the catwalk in between dinner and dessert. That was a new experience for us, and was awesome!

We will be celebrating out 19'th this Sept @ AKL. We spent a day @ Epcot during our honeymoon and this will be our first time back. I'm as giddy as a school girl.:hyper: I've spent the last 2 mo planning the following romance.

I noted on all ADR's it is our anniversary and I plan to stop and get anniversary buttons to wear the whole trip.

Our first nt. we will do the sunset safari followed by dinner at Jiko. Then we will drive to Polly and a enjoy a cocktail on the beach while watching Wishes. Still considering ressy's for the dessert party if still ongoing.

Day 2 is our anniversary and we plan to sleep in and order room service (*see note below), followed by a day poolside:beach: and then dinner at V&A Queen Ann rm. Since we'll be at GF we'll have cocktails by the marina and watch Hallowishes Elec. Water Pageant. Probably end up at Narcosee's bar.:drinking1

Day 3 dinner @ Calif. Grill for Wishes.pixiedust:

Day 4 Le Cellier then either Spectromagic or Fantasmic.:wizard:

Day 5 drinking around Epcot followed by Illuminations.

*:cake:* on our first anniv. I worked nt. shift, I came home from work & Dh was still in bed. So I crawled in with him we preceded to open our presents for eachother (clean mind folks:rotfl2:) and then had our wedding cake topper and champagne for breakfast in bed.....it was romantic. So for our trip I'm thinking about having a celebrations cake delivered to the rm in the morning and repeating cake & champagne in bed. Think DH would be very surprised.:scared1: I will also be bring votive candels for the trip.

:cool1:

Sounds wonderful....and relaxing! I'm still trying to put something together, our kids will be there with us, so I want to include them too.....but your plans do sound amazing.....

I am doing the same thing in October. Our anniversary is in August, but our kids love Halloween, so we are going to MNSSHP. Since it will be our 10th anniverary, I want to something special for my wife and surprise her.

I have contacted disneyflorist.com and hopefully can come up with something that won't break the bank.

The great thing is there are so many things @ Disney to do that you can include the kids.:grouphug:

We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in Oct. at AKL. We splurged for concierge and are going to go on the Sunrise Safari. I am still trying to think of something special to do for DH. I did get an ADR for Tony's as that was the very first place we ate on our first trip together. Maybe I will try to have something special for that meal.

We also will be celebrating with some of our children and grandchildren (11 of us) It's also 2 of our GC Birthday one 20, one 13. party:

I purchased the wedding mouse ears when we were there in March. I'm turning them into anniversary ears.

We have nothing special planned other then a few meals and MNSSHP. We did the party a few years ago with some of our GC and love it. (we did a 50's theme that year) we are doing a roaring 20's theme this time.

Congratulations!!!!:wizard::love:
This will be our third celebration of an Anniversary at WDW, our 35th.:santa:

These are things we've done:

Filled the room with flowers.
Dinners at V&As. This time Queen Victoria's Room.
Wildlife Discovery Excursion from AK.
MVMCP and champaign on the beach at Poly after.:cloud9:
Choc. covered strawberries.
Bought funny hats to wear and laughed much.

We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary on our upcoming trip (20 days to go). Our real anniversary is not until August, but since I work in a school a trip in August is not feasible.

I have a fishing excursion planned for my DH and we are going to have dinner alone one night at Chefs de France (kids are 16 so they can do their own thing).

Just getting to go to Disney is the main present!!

I will also be bring votive candels for the trip.

:cool1:

------um-----about that last item-----you'd better check with the front desk about that. Better yet, call now and ask. The in-room smoke detectors might have an issue with votives or any other candles or incense. And then you'd get WAY more surprises than you wanted to. :sad2:
