Celebrating a Birthday?

We are planning on celebrating our daughter's birthday in WDW while we are there. I've noticed many threads about getting birthday cakes,etc. at the different restaurants or character meals. This may sound dumb but, I'm wondering if they check to make sure that it is your actual "birth day"? Our daughter is in university and will be heading back there after our vacation at Christmas time. Her actual birthday will be the week after we get back so she won't be home for it and we want to recognize it while we are all together. Can I pay for a cake and do the normal celebrating or will I get a hassle because it isn't on that day? Thanks for your help!!

If you're willing to pay for a acake, they don't care when her birthday is.

When we were celebrating my daughter's birthday, she got a free special desert/cake at every restaurant and ALOT of special attention. Nobody ever asked for verification.
My advice is to stop at City Hall on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom and get one of their "It's My Birthday" buttons and it just makes everyone notice and nobody ever asked other than "how old are you today?".
I can't wait to take her for her birthday again next year! It makes the trip so special!

Thanks so much for the info!! I was hoping that they wouldn't ask for proof! We are hoping to get PS's for the CP so that she can have dinner with Tigger, her favorite!

you can also get a Happy Birthday pin at epcot, guests relations. it has happy birthday written in several languages. we are celebrating my husband's august b-day in septmeber while there. not a problem! and happy birthday to your daughter!
