celabrate ticket ?

no, their just for disneyland. [i went for my birthday]

This is incorrect.

The Free Admission on Your Birthday offer is a One-Day, One-Park Ticket (DLR)/One-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket (WDW) to the US-based Disney Park of a Guest's choice.

At the Disneyland Resort, Guests may choose to use their Complimentary Birthday Ticket at either Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park.

It is not a park-hopper, but at Disneyland it is upgradable to a park hopper for $25.

Also, if you are a California resident, through the end of the 2fer promotion, the birthday ticket is a 2fer as long as you show ID.

When the 3-day promotion starts in June, the birthday ticket can be upgraded to a 3-day ticket for $33.

Has anyone chosen the gift card option? If so how much was it worth and how did you go about picking it up?

The Fun Card is only an option for those with paid multi-day Park admission (including Annual Passholders that are NOT blocked out that day). No, One-Day tickets do NOT count for eligibility.

The Fun Card is in the amount of a One-Day/One-Park ticket. Currently at the DLR, that is $69 for Guests ages 10+ and $59 for a Guest ages 3-9. You can use the Fun Card at any merchandise location, use it for tours, PhotoPass, spa treatments... pretty much anything but at the restaurants and vending carts.

So I should be able to upgrade to an AP then?

We did get the Fun Card for DS and he spent it right away. It was $69, not for use on food or the outdoor carts. He went to Guest Services and got it without waiting in line at the ticket booths.

If you get the ticket, yes you can upgrade from that. The value of it is the cost of the one day one park ticket.

Clarification on mention of photopass...you can use it for photopass in the parks (they do have the CD in the parks, but it's not editable, however they do generally have a special including a couple/few 5x7 prints with the CD for the same cost as buying the editable CD online) but NOT online.

Just a point of clarification here. The Fun Card cannot be used at all merchandise locations, but most. There are some shops at DLR that are not owed by Disney. (Ex: The Crystal Shop) Only shops owed and operated by Disney will accept the Fun Card.

Pretty much any merchandise location that accepts a Disney Gift Card will take the Fun Card (as it's technically a Disney Gift Card).

My neighbors took their twin 5 year olds for their birthday yesterday and the twins received 2fer tickets.
