They can take away levels and add towels and coffee makers, but still doesn't make a value any closer to a deluxe, and, giving the values a coffee maker, fridge and pool towels just brings them up to what any motel 6 would have.
I read the explanation about doing away with value, moderate, Deluxe - will not tie values to value pricing, mods with that pricing, but-- values have many times, most times have different pricing. Mermaid room, Pop and Allstars usually have different prices, even within Allstars price differs. The mods don't have same pricing. And the deluxe never had same pricing.
I guess I'm just getting annoyed with Disney taking away amenities like fans, bed runners, but still gouging you with continually higher prices.
I just saw an add for a new Universal Value resort, Aventura. 3 pools, hot tub, water slide, 314 sq ft rooms with floor to ceiling windows and inside halls for $114. Why does Universal manage to keep prices reasonable and Disney feel the need to gouge us?
So sad about taking out fans. We always use it. I hate cold AC rooms, so I can set AC to 70, run fan and be comfortable. It also helps keep electric costs down. It's also part of the South Pacific theming.
It's maybe just me, but It makes me sad about how they are taking all the special touches out of the rooms and making them more homogenized in theming. I loved all the small touches in the rooms. The Mickey desk lamps, the ones at YC & BC were so cute. Now could be a lamp at any Hotel.
