Hi guys,

can't believe I just found out about that there is a TGV link between CDG and DLP!

Mum and I are going on the 4th of October, think our flight with air france from edinburgh gets in around mid morning, not too sure, just texted her to find out for definite!

We usually get the VEA shuttle, but this looks like it will be much less hassle. I just wondered the following - who has used it, is it easy, does anyone know where it picks up in the airport (air france lands in the new terminal, can't remember which number!) and I just checked the timetable, is this still up-to-date?

Any advice would be most helpful guys!!

From what I understand, the TGV leaves terminal 2 at CDG. There is now an internal train system within CDG as well, which takes you between each of the terminals.

I believe the timetable for the TGV on this site is the up-to-date one - I've booked tickets for DLP - CDG and the train I'm on is listed in the timetable link.

There is a member here who used the TGV and the internal CDG train as well in the summer, can't remember which thread they posted on though.

Forum search on "TGV" does well, and everything at a glance can be found »here!

I used TGV 2 or 3 times now, always getting the tickets directly at the station. You can also use the SNCF website to get an accurate timetable and do the reservation already (you can identify the "peak" or "off peak" times then very well).

Should you miss the booked train, you can usually take the next one with the same ticket (just ask at the station). Tickets are exchangeable.

TGV for me is the smartes way to get to DLRP in almost no time (unless you arrive at CDG at unholy times of the day). Traveling with kids and/or lots of luggage could be a bit more difficult, but as you won't have to carry all the stuff to your places on the train (as you need only 10 minutes to arrive) even in this context TGV is worth to consider!

I've just booked the TGV for me, hubby and 3 year old. We are staying at L'Elysee so will have to take train journey one stop further to Val d'Europe stop. Works out a little bit cheaper than VEA which doesn't stop at our hotel. Getting excited now!
